Hello members...so many asked questions about Pharm.D, here all the answers to common questions related to Pharm.D both in India and USA are compiled.
(1) Only a Pharm.D student can become a registered pharmacist in USA is that true?
Ans: Yes my dear group members, it is true if you passed out after 2003, you need 5 continuous years of pharmacy education PharmD will compenstate it.
(2) A student with B.pharm and M.Pharm in India can become a Pharmacist in USA?
Ans: No, the student can not become registered pharmacist even though he had M.Pharm because B.Pharm+M.Pharm not considered equivalent to Pharm.D in USA
(3) Indian student with M.S in USA can be eligible to become registerd pharmacist?
Ans: No, again B.Pharm in India+M.S in USA not considered to be 5 years equivalent education to Pharm.D in India.
(4) If a student have 5 continuous years of education, can the student appear for registered pharmacist exam?
Ans: Yes, 5 continuous years of education would be considered to equivalent to Pharm.D as per the NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy)
(5) If a student studied D.Pharm (Diploma) and B.Pharm, can the student eligible to write registered pharmacist entrance exam?
Ans: No again because this could leads to merging of two courses so they (NABP) don't consider it is equivalent to Pharm.D
(6) After B.Pharmacy by doing post baccalaureate Pharm.D programme in India can we eligible to write registered pharmacist exam?
Ans: Yes, you are eligible to write exams for registerd pharmacist.
(7) So once I done Pharm.D or B.Pharmacy+post baccalaureate Pharm.D programme in India, how could I become a registerd pharmacist in USA?
Ans: (1) You need to apply for ECE for your education evaluation. (https://www.ece.org/)
(2) Once you get an evaluation you need to apply to NABP (http://www.nabp.net/)
(3) Once you got approval from NABP, you are eligible to write FPGEE (http://www.nabp.net/programs/examination/fpgee/) examto get approval to give exams.You need to get 75% in this exam
(4) Then you need to give TOEFL as well, in TOEFL you need to get sores like:
Reading-21
Listnening- 18
Speaking-26
Writing-24
(5) After that it is mandatory to work 1500 Hrs of internship
(6) During this time you can give NAPLEX (http://www.nabp.net/programs/examination/naplex/) and MPJE (http://www.nabp.net/programs/examination/mpje/) exams

Once you done it you can do Pharm D course in USA which consists of 4 years..
